Yes he's talking about a street I used to work on. There is a huge, very posh looking Mercedes showroom that's surrounded by acres of post industrial dereliction. Looks like it landed from Mars.Quote:

The village at the top is Penkhull, it's in the Domesday book. Prior to that, Bronze age hill fort. Land drops away steeply on three sides, ideal defensive position.
In the 1880s it became the Stoke equivalent of Beverly Hills as you're up high, out of all the pollution. Some very expensive houses.
