Records noisier after a clean?!

I thought distilled water (as used in car batteries & steam irons) would be as pure as you'd get? :scratch: After all it's pure water that has been boiled & condensed from steam, it leaves all the cack behind it :)

There are a whole bunch of different grades of purified or distilled water. You'd have to read the label so see exactly what the quality and the impurities are.

'Purified Water' as opposed to distilled is the medical grade stuff. No impurities. Stuff you put in a car battery does not have to be processed to such a high standard.

When was the last time you saw a car battery that needed topping up? ;)

Don't you all wash again with distilled water after the L'art Du Son to remove any residue ?

Using a clean brush and having wiped the felt on the hoover bit first...
