Never seen one of those before Jon, very sixties looking. I've not heard an EL95 amp. I don't know if you got it cheap or paid too much, but it is certainly interesting. I'd change the mains cabling to 'normal' colour coding at the first opportunity, but no doubt you'll have that in hand. And, less important, but I'd wire the DIN connections to 'normal' too. The hum could be anything from bad earthing to a dying capacitor, etc., should be traceable.Quote:
