The main IC's are available, it's not too complicated in the power supply. Physical parts, I'd just have them made.
The only problem I can find with my DDX-1000 are the rubber feet. They are slowly disintegrating. A guy in the US makes a set of metal replacements, which I'll probably end up ordering one of these days.
How much can you pick up Micro 'MSB-1' (Microsobers) fer ?
There is a set on eBay for about £130 including postage from Australia.
They have to be having a laugh...

Aaaaah, sweet.
I haven't seen any of these for a few years. Looks to be in good order.
Thats a good system Chris.. I have an A&R 'SA60' here unit number 0021, I think it has Linn 'Kan' crossover board but not sure.

Hmmm, I have a pair of ARC101 under the stairs if I remember correctly  They might be in good nick under that matt black paint
Not many of these about
These any good?

Its a 5 channel - do you need 5 channels? - I reckon it will shot up in price as it gets near the end
Got myself a nice little batch of vintage Westrex mic transformers for £37.

Exactly... My point was that if it was so rare and desirable (as suggested earlier), why were there no bids?
The problem I think is that the Linn sheep won't buy anything which hasn't been officially blessed by Ivor... If it'd had a stock plinth and an Ittok instead, it'd likely have sold!
Marco.
If you look at the listing, it didn't actually not sell, but "The listing was ended because the item is no longer available".
This means one of two things:
(1) Seller realised just what he had, in which case expect to see it re-listed soon at a much higher price.
(2) Someone made him an off-eBay offer that was too good to refuse.
Thank the lord Mayware F4/III i won Monday night (Amazing fast delivery) arrived in one piece..Did well at £140.00 me thinks :eyebrows:

Congratulations Andre, that looks to be in fabulous condition... ;)
Very nice, Andre. Bet you can't wait to get it all up and running - we expect lots of pics! ;)
Marco.
Always liked that arm, Andr'e. Do you know what became of the company?
Here are a pair of B&W DM70's needing some TLC (and bass drivers) if anyone is interested. Currently sitting at 75 quid with only a few hours to go ;)
I wonder about these Goodmans Magnums - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-GOODM...b#ht_552wt_922
I have a pair of Goodwoods, but the bass unit in one is damaged. I might be able to get it fixed, but I wonder if the drive from the Magnums would fit instead. Not urgent though, but would be useful to know about the drives.
I suppose If I camp on eBay long enough I might get a spare in reasonable condition, either a drive unit or a complete Goodwood cabinet etc.
Bugger, bugger and thrice bugger!!!!
Been after one of these for more years than I care to remember and when one comes up for sale . . . . . it's at the other side of the country, collection only :steam:

What's its provenance, Frank?
Suprised thats as low as it is..
It could have been so simple Frank - I'm going down to Cornwall in a few weeks & we have a house 20 minutes away from Lincoln but I'm afraid that I'm not going to be anywhere near it between then & now.
If the item were paid for, could it not be collected at a later date?
Don't know if it's at all helpful but I live on the east side of Sheffield and, (for petrol money for a 1400cc old Corsa :) ) would be willing to collect it and hang on to it for a while but what about the rest of the journey?
Further thoughts:
my son's job takes him around a lot of the country but it's erratic and usually at quite short notice - maybe he could get it a bit nearer to you at some point?
Dave.
The army's new secret weapon - An amp that also doubles as a machine gun? Could be exactly that as the seller is in Catterick Garrison.
Yes, but is it enough?Quote:

When I worked in a hi-fi shop back in the 80's I had a Rappaport pre on loan for a few weeks and I shed some real tears when I returned it. Awesome sound paired with a Hafler power amp and feeding a pair of Harbeth HL2's as I recall.
I have seen a very rare few on ebay over the years and most look like they have been used as axle stands, or the modules have been robbed out, making them utterly useless.
At the moment it is at pathetically low money for one of the best pre's ever made in MY opinion, so I wish the seller would provide a postage option :(
You could always arrange courier collection if he would just pack it for you?
I might try a different tack here.
I will wait and see if nobody else bids it too high then have a go at buying it.
Then I will let the seller know it will be collected but then later say I have been let down and could he post it once the heat is off with all the other items he is selling. I think that might be the problem in that he has a list of items for sale and doesn't relish the idea of back and forth to the post office with armfuls of parcels.
