Lockdown job. Dig out every remote control in the house (there are many) and put new batteries in those that are in regular use! Bin batteries in any not in immediate use.
Trust you take the old batteries to a recycling point. ;)

I think Mike may be talking about trams, and Brighton & Hove City Council's reluctance to invest, saying they're expensive and a danger to public safety. Hardly call it politically explosive though. We have trams in Blackpool, and I conform to the belief that they're great :)
