The foam of the box my ADC 25s came in has degraded and started to crumble. Whereas, the foam inlay of the box of my Ortofon SL15E is still as good as new, and it's 43 years old. Maybe Ortofon used a better quality foam for the inlay of their boxes, which is why Marco's and the eBay seller's boxes are still perfect?
Nad 5120 very cheap starter tt for someone...Under £45.00 posted

Gumtree not too far from me, was tempted to enquire to get the Castle speakers (would they be Kendall?) and move the other stuff on but happy with the sound of MS Pageants I picked up recently so won't bother. At this price may already have gone.

look like Kendal.
Ah, ok. Yes, saw them too but they were snapped up quick.
Just because it's labelled Amstrad and has a silly platter doesn't mean it's automatically vomit-worthy. Made for his lordship by Rega, stick a glass platter on top and you've got a half-decent turntable. E250's pushing it a bit though.
they were. supposedly terrible but hey they say that about lots of stuff thats ok. looks a lot like a rega planet(think that was the name)
does indeed - a friend of mine had a Rega Planet way back when; a futuristic joy to behold and to hear....

The Amstrad thing gets my 'vomit' vote - an appalling waste of materials and an eyesore to boot (if you get the chance)
ll this talk and then this pops up

KEESONIC speakers from the late 1970's
Don't know the version and 1 day to go,
collection or own courier
Had 1 bid on them a couple of days ago, managed to get them. They're Super Kubs, not sure about about the woofer (seas?) as I've seen them in a different frame a la Dalesfords but the cutout matches so... Let's see how I get on with them compared to the more usual models.
was gonna buy them but got distracted doh!!! only 5 miles away..nice speakers those...yep they are kubs..good speakerz
5 miles.. Ouch, now I feel bad as I still have to arrange courier with the seller (who seemed a nice bloke)
yep he is. i spoke with him a couple of days ago.lol.. he,ll be thinking im a tyre kicker:doh: he stays in Uphall
enjoy them Felipe
Grant, let me know if you're curious and want to try them for 1 week or 2, he'll be packing them (I think) lol, so I can arrange the courier in due time.
Thanks for the offer Felipe but it would probably be best that you get them from him...i might keep 'em:lol: Think you will like them. i had a pair once and they were super.sould have kept them
Well, I trust you that you would send them to rightful owner when the time comes ehehe :eyebrows: Still in time
Did you had the regular Kubs or this "Super" model?
It was the ones with the paper tweeter; think they were the best ones as well. Hope you like them, and think they are worth all the trouble of import

Anyone think I should stick a bid on these?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QED-Qunex-...item4aecf9de47
Are they worth the asking price?
They are OK, but don't bid more than a tenner. They're cheap cables.
If you like Cambridge cables try these, they're slightly better in my view: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cambridge-...51782732&rt=nc
I still wouldn't pay much though. I have a pair somewhere and they sounded OK.
Always wanted one of these big organs:eyebrows: used to have one in the shop I worked at and loved to play with it:eek: very cheap too/ pity its in ipswich
