Well, if NVA wishes to send me a phonostage to 'ave a go with, for my personal delectation and for those who wish to read my thoughts about them here on AOS and on the Subjectivist forum, then I would be very receptive to the idea.
I recall with pleasure and respect the NVA A80 monoblocks I bought - and I kept them for longer than most equipment - they were very fine sounding amps indeed. :thumbsup:
haha, i'm loving my (MM) NVA Phono2. had a trichord dino with (avondale) NCPSU for a while and i'm not sure it was better or worse really. just wondered :)

I had an Avondale PSU with my Dino before I got the NCPSU. The Avondale was great with the Dino, but imo the NCPSU was a little bit better.
i think the Avondale was originally yours (maybe the dino too?)
think i got it from dicy on the wam.......
Aha! - yep, right. That explains it, Darren. :) I still have the Dino, but sold the Avondale once I got the NCPSU -- quite possibly to dicy ... :scratch:
Who did you sell the Avondale/Dino on to, if I may ask? ... I'm just curious to track these things!
Out of interest, what kind of valve stage is in the 63?
Basically, I mean, like whether it's Lampizator or some other easy to follow DIY thing? I wouldn't have any clue if you told me the technical name of the topology..

I'm always interested to hear of people's opinions of valve output stages ala Lampizator - have lined up a few things to tinker with but not started any yet.
Obviously it hasn't blown away the Bushmaster or McCormack... but then it is still a 63 underneath.
I got it on eBay.
No, not blown away the McC or BM, it's somewhat more limited in what it does well - kind of similar to EE Minimax valved CDP and DAC in that way - doesn't really swing the big stuff, but very good at smaller scale music.
