They were, especially the valve ones. I owned a Trio ham radio receiver which was a honey, then I got into computers and swapped it for an Oric Atmos and a Microvitec Cub RGB monitor. I am an idiot... :rolleyes:

They were complete rubbish! Look at the 'bass' units, they are not original. The replacements are cheap, nasty, full range drivers. Not a speaker I'd touch even in good condition. The tweeters were not known for their durability. Wharfedale speakers were going through a bad patch in the eighties, the speakers were pretty poorly put together.
