I know people fail to read posts properly  but ive said what they are in post #3203
I saw your post  but I didn't put two and two together! They're Victor's? Did they sound any good?
I have them on my watch list  but sadly I think the 'bargain' has passed
It certainly has, these were the one of the greatest bargains ever. :D:D:D

Just got a "bargain" Naim Nait2 (CB) on eBay
£100... Gotta love females selling hifi :D
Barry (or Marco?) was asking who designed the P-Series case.
It was the Woudhuysen Group but I can no longer find the link to an article (it certainly wasn't the James W who comes up on Google).
Hi Richard, would you mind poping into the welcome area of the forum & introducing yourself on your next visit please :)
Thanks in advance!
God loves a trier... We see plenty of them with hifi! - check out the TDL photo...

and only £100 what a bargain
I'm surprised he hasn't added, "And the natural patina and general wear and tear adds to their nostalgic charm" :D
Sorry to hear that mate, was it badly packed or badly handled?
I suppose i should count myself lucky, as i've never received anything broken that i've got of ebay and had it posted or courier delivered:)
Shit, shouldn't have said that, probably jinxed it for good now:doh:
Sorry to hear the news, Andre - I feel your pain. :steam:
Back to eBay wonderfulness, how about this beauty?

I want it so much it hurts, but £2k is incredibly optimistic. Plus, Mrs. B and I exchanged contracts on our new house yesterday, so even a cheeky offer is currently out of the question.
Oh well, maybe one day I'll spot one at the car boot sale....
Anyone dealt with these?

Have a trawl through here.
eek
not familiar with this valve, anyone tried it??
Isn't it nice when things on ebay are described properly:), i've just popped over to the sellers house to pick up this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1108492981...84.m1423.l2649 and while there i got 5 other LP's all in the same condition all for £25, the covers are as if the cellophane had just been removed and the vinyl is as clean as a whistle, no pops or crackle at all

Fabulous little amp. Had one when they first came out. Based on a Hitachi circuit - they made the mosfets it used - but beautifully made with quality components. Only sold it when we went abroad 20 years later and sold it for half what I paid for it.
This may be of interest to some one if your quick http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1108505595...84.m1423.l2649
It's also attracting a lot of attention, the arm and platter both look shagged though, TBH if i was looking for a Techie for that money i'd go straight for a 1210
The 'learnt how to scratch on it' comment kind of put the wind up me
ffs...
True but it's not a 1210, platters, bearings etc. may not be as easy to come by for this model
Are your pockets deep enough?
Nice Tannoys
They're worth having a go at, Jon.
Mark Levinson used to like to pile 'em up like stacked Quads.

Nice pre-amp for those who know about these things!
