Went down last March and the queue was half way round the car park. Said fuck that for a game of soldiers and not been back since. I never liked going in there anyway.
I can do that in the market instead :D
That's kinda what I thought, but your initial 'pronouncement' didn't make that clear... Initially I thought you were using a delivery service instead.
Good stuff - you should've done that years ago!:)
We've always used local markets, in conjunction with supermarkets, simply because there's certain things we need that local markets/shops don't have, but in general we'd always rather give our money to the 'little guys'.
Trouble is, folks now are too fixated on price and convenience, rather on what is actually BEST or most enjoyable!

True, it's very easy to have a "family outing" to the supermarket.
But, I find local farm cheaper for vegetables (and the kale is sold as whole leaves which are easy to strip, rather than loads of chopped pieces which have all the indigestible stalk mixed in - pet hate :steam:).
Local butcher: far better value and quality/taste for bacon and gammon, chicken and beef a bit more expensive than supermarkets but far better taste and "traceable".
I just wish that we were a bit more like the French and had a baker in the village.
