Tell Me Something............Anything!

I have to say Happy is very neat and tidy about the house. When she comes in, she takes off her boots and hands them to me to polish them!

I often do the washing (or rather let the machine do it) and will also do the ironing; and if the washing has included her clothes, will iron them as well and put them away in her wardrobe(s) and drawers. Happy is neither coy or 'private' about any of that. I do let her iron the bed sheets as I hate doing that.

The only time she is messy is when she cooks - it looks like a bomb has exploded in the kitchen! And since we have a house rule: "They that cook, do not wash up afterwards", means I have to clear up the mess. Since we roughly alternate cooking roles, she gets the better deal, as I clear up as I cook.

:lol: You say how neat and tidy she is, then proceed to tell us that the only thing she does is occasional cooking, when she leaves the place a complete tip :D Oh and a bit of sheet ironing. She's got you so well trained you don't even see it :ner:

I don't really use anything that needs ironing or polishing (that includes the car :)).

My cooking is tidily done though and the washing-up is promptly dealt with.

I used to work with a guy who on the rare occasion he wore jeans, came in with them neatly pressed with a crease down the front :rolleyes:.

That's cool. I guess everyone's different. Del's always been a little private (or as you say coy) about her 'girlie things'/women's stuff (she's quite a bit younger than Happy, remember), so doesn't like me going or rummaging about where I shouldn't, as it were, not that I'd have any desire to!

Yeah, much like with Grant, I can see you as a 'master ironer', lol!:D

Just assembled two three door wardrobes, you know, no veneer n all that.came in three sections, I'll sleep tonight :)

Wife and two daughters here - I hate clearing hair from the plughole of the bath, shower and rotating brush on the vacuum cleaner (I say rotating, but it regularly gets stuck with all the hair wrapped around it).
Also, I seem to be the only person in the house who can be bothered to put fresh bog roll on the holder and put the old "inners" in the bin.
No doubt they get pissed off with my failings :)

Just bought a new Hoover, vacuum, great for picking up hair, the previous Shark just got clogged up

In terms of the bit in bold, does she also have 'her' wardrobe, 'her' cupboards, 'her' drawers, etc, which she's quite private about? That was the problem we had, and the general lack of space, which is why Del wanted her own dressing room.

No, our wardrobe is shared but we have our own compartments and it’s all very tidy! Although she does have a full wardrobe in one of the spare rooms, too.

And no, I do mean CDO. It’s a more severe form of OCD but with the letters in alphabetical order - as they should be. ;)

Yeah but where's the fun in that? :D

With wife number one (who also worked full time) we used to share the household duties, so I was pretty good at it. Although I did all of the big shops, cheaper that way (on the occasions when she came with me I always spent a lot more).

With Mrs. P the set up is different, she can't work due to disabilities, so does most of the house work. I suppose it looks like an old fashioned, dare I say chauvinistic arrangement to outsiders, but it works for us. Anyway as I've said before, my cleaning/ironing doesn't meet her standards, ie I'm doing it wrong ;)
