Cheers... Yeah sure, but I wouldn't enter into any such disputes.
Not worth the stress, plus more importantly, we're too considerate as neighbours to burn rubbish in our garden and potentially have dirty big plumes of smoke billowing into surrounding properties - and it's just not that type of neighbourhood.

When I had the allotment they used to hate you having fires but there was nothing they could do. I mean one of the main reasons I got the allotment was to have fires on it.
All they used to say was try not to have a fire when the prevailing wind was towards the nearby houses. Which was fair enough.
Yeah, that last bit especially, but it depends on where you are. Such fires are dirty, messy and ugly things, and not something that exactly adds to a nice garden!;)

The wooden oak mantle, btw, which the garland is attached to, is part of an old railway sleeper, which I spent ages sanding down and staining.
