I asked about that Denon a while back on the Yahoo tuner group and the info I got back was that it might sound good on a strong signal but the sensitivity is relatively poor. The other specs are the same as the TU-1500RD IIRC. So a TU-800L would be a better bet IMO.Quote:

Just won this. Don't laugh but it uses the same turntable as the 'RP1500' i was wanting a spare motor, strobe light & another one of those arms (i rewired yesterday on the vintage rebuild topic), the platter & bearing can go on my DIY RCM, so i guess it was a bargin' enough for me..the rest of it can go to the tip.

Ah right, I did wonder as they appear to use Wharfedale midrange drivers which IMO can be pretty bad.
