Not for me.... I think it comes with age...
Different for women, with men it usually goes with age :( In the words of the famous West Country philosopher, the late great Fred Wedlock:
"It takes you all night to do what you used to do all night"
At least we have hifi and music. And the little blue pills, which are great at keeping me from rolling out of bed.
I ordered something from Argos this afternoon and opted to pay £3.95 for same day delivery. I have to admit I was rather sceptical it would arrive today but just four hours after placing the order it arrived. And the bonus was that I had spent over £100 I got a £10 voucher, result.
Really a more apt phrase for me would be:
"I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was" :)
I thought it was: "Gosh honey, I doubt I'll be able to fit it all in there":eyebrows:
Marco.
It's in the garage for a service. Lol
Well it's that time of year again, where the queen wasps are looking for a home. There were three sniffing round the front door yesterday, and all three met their end thanks to my most expensive fly swatter (this month's 'Which' magazine).
I ended up with two nests outside the front of the house last year (although I managed to kill one off with some Nippon nest destroyer), and I'm not putting up with that again. I saw a queen go into the same place yesterday as was used last year, and I didn't see it come back out. Didn't know they re-used nests.
Occasionally if it's in a great spot they will use an old nest.
Nasty things wasp nests.
Last one I had was on inside of door of my shed.
The mate got rid with a shovel and bucket of water
You need to be quick on your feet to get away with that, as I'm told wasps don't like that sort of thing. At the moment the best I can manage is a brisk limp :(
This hot weather has bought out the shortest of short skirts... I'd get arrested if I wore them out though....
Ti's OK to wear them here. Lol
I used to have a girlfriend who's skirts were so short (only a couple of inches below 'sea level'), she would have to wear matching knickers for the sake of appearance.
Was going to go down the chippy yesterday, couldn't because the cops had sealed off the end of the street, some women been murdered. You don't get that every day.

This bloke I used to work with, his wife liked her short skirts, even more than she disliked underwear. Not that I ever noticed... :booty:
One sunny day a mate was having a birthday party for his four year old daughter, and they had cake, pop, balloons, party games...and a bouncy castle. this woman was banned from using it after some of the other parents complained.
Yup, just up - after a very LONG and boozy lunch yesterday! Started at 2pm and ended at 9pm!!
Just all sitting together outside, enjoying the lovely warm weather, chatting, eating and drinking and having a few laughs - what life's all about!
Now I need a nice big cappuccino!!
Marco.
I'm sat outside having a capucchino myself, but one of the quality ones, from my £39 DeLonghi Dolche Gusto. A bit extravagant I know, but as they say "Quality is remembered, long after the price is forgotten" :)
Do you do your star jumps on your veranda before or after breakfast? Cause you don't want to be throwing up, the neighbours won't want to see that.
Been sitting the sun all day wearing a slightly longer short skirt, which was nice ... :eyebrows:
I've got a Dolce Gusto machine too, it's great...
Indeed, although she does sound like a bit of an attention-seeking tart. Funny yes, 'sexy', not really....
Marco.
Certainly funny to outsiders, but if it were my wife I would be having a word...
On a night out in Preston once, with the husband and a couple of others, and his wife came out too. She got so wasted that she slept all the way home in the taxi, unconscious really, and one of her teddies was peeping out for the whole journey. I brought it to hubby's attention to allow her some dignity, and he just shrugged it off saying "Just let her sleep"
From a distance it may seem amusing, but believe it or not this lack of respect for his wife fell way below the standards of decency I like to see in friends, and we lost touch soon after.
"Baby Sussex"... Who GIVES A FLYING FUCK??:rolleyes:
Marco.
All this royal guff getting on your last nerve again?
I have no opinion about this, one way or the other. In fact, I'd never heard of "Baby Sussex" until you mentioned it! I had to Google it. Clearly I'm (unintentionally) avoiding watching and reading the same cack you're punishing yourself with :D Been no mention of it on "Game of Thrones" :)
Less telly* and newspapers + more music playing = happier times!
* One Show! Or anything to do with gardening or cookery.
My VCR has packed up, and not being interested in buying another machine, have just thrown out 40-odd video cassettes.
Fortunately most of the titles are still available on VCD and Blu-Ray.
Gave up my vcr many years ago. Think I still have a full boxsets of John Wayne films on tape in loft. Most or all never played. Was a pressie the year stopped using tape
What do expect to see on breakfast television, a documentary about the Carthaginians?
only interesting thing that ever happened on breakfast tv was Frank Bough getting done for coke and hookers. And that was years ago.
Yerse, I just lurves 'em (especially the sickening underground peadophile rings, some of the major royals are involved in).............almost as much as I do the chinless wonders in Westmonster, government corruption, and the insidious existence of 'the establishment';)
Marco.
No news actually matters.
Underground paedophile rings? That's another one I haven't heard about, but a google search revealed that they used to be sold at Ratners. Who on earth would wear one? No wonder the company went tits up.
You really need to get out more. Or stay in more. Or listen to the radio instead. Sorry I'm in a shit mood because I get radio through Alexa, who's telling me this morning that "I can't connect to the pubic wifi, so feel free to dick around with your Alexa app instead of getting ready for work". :( This keeps happening - time to go old skool, and go back to a radio with an 'on' button.
Dunno, it's just something that Alexa says every now and then, and it remains spazzed out in this fashion until Anita pigs about with her phone to make it right. I don't know how to fix it and have no interest in learning. I'll just shop around for a secondhand DAB radio and Alexa can sod off.
It's effectively a spy for 'big brother' (powers that be), of which Amazon are but one, which you've allowed into your home to monitor and control your behaviour. I wouldn't entertain having one if you paid me!:nono:
Marco.
Well we're paying Alexa (through Amazon Prime) and it certainly isn't entertaining me right now. Currently playing Crime of The Century on vinyl, and not once has my trusty deck told me it can't play it (although Mrs. P wishes it would) :)
On the subject of 'spy in the home', you may think you're safe by not having Alexa, but your 'Smart' TV knows your viewing habits. And combined with all the posts you put on here with certain keywords (royal, baby sussex, etc), you'll only have yourself to blame when the Royal Baby/Royal Wedding commemorative crap starts landing on your doorstep, so don't be thinking it's mischief on my part :D
