Looks good Marco.
My family can be traced back to at least the 17th century (if not earlier), so our orange carrots, which were selectively bred by the Dutch in the 17th Century are good enough for me.
Anyway just to let the side down, any "mashed" potato I eat is "smashed": the skins are where all the goodness is.

Lol, Del loves her 'fancy' carrots - it makes what she's eating more interesting.
I've also had potatoes the way you describe, and they're nice, but Del's mash is made with butter and cream, and just so unctuous!
Marco.

Unctuous maybe, but not particularly healthy. :hmm:

Don't have it all the time, mate - like I said, variety is the spice of life!:)

Paris for the day today, lunch was 3 entrées shared between us, Cafe Buci, Saint-Germain-Des-Pres:
Charcuterie, baked Camembert and onion soup gratin (no, I didn’t know cheese on soup was a thing, so much so that I forgot to take a picture!)

Dinner was at Cafe Bruant in Monmatre- their speciality is mussels, I had them in a blue cheese sauce and they were wonderful, we shared Escargot as Sue and Tamzin have never tried them. (Will had them on a school trip to France last year when they visited a snail farm.) Will loves French toast, and had a French toast pudding!

Nice pics, Alex... Food looks good - typically French:)

Where I used to live in the West of England, there was a farm where they raised (?) snails. They were so good they supplied French restaurants.
Haven't eaten escargot for a good while now - they're not bad with garlic butter, but a bit 'rubbery' in texture. Like frog's legs, tasty but hardly worth the effort. :sofa:

Charcuterie not up to previous standards, Barry?;)
