My mate had a 2.0 S Capri, didn't have the JPS stripes though. It was the first car I ever drove - he let me have a shot on a quiet country lane. I went for about half a mile before deciding that I didn't like my view of the road being blocked by a sea of bonnet. Put me off driving for a bit and I stuck with 2 wheels for another 3 years.
Have you seen what the new 'Capri' looks like? In what universe is that a Ford Capri? :doh:

It's not the ugliest car on the road, but they really should have given it another name. Not as bad as that electric 'Mustang' though. That thing is an abomination.
It looks a lot like the electric Mustang, which looks nothing like a Mustang. Not sure why cars have to be so ugly these days, there's very few exceptions now. A choice of ugly or bland, same as modern hi-fi.
Dodge have done better with their electric Charger, but it's still a battery car.

And still can't compete with a proper Dodge. I saw one of these on the road recently, or rather I heard it before I saw it - and that's how it should be.

Shame you can't get a Dukes Of Hazzard version. But at least it's electric so won't cost £2 a mile to run. I think the original Charger got about 12 miles to the gallon. The modern petrol version only manages 18.
Yeah, that Charger is crying out for “01” on the doors, and a Confederate flag on the roof!
Plus you have to weld the doors shut and climb in through the window. I remember us doing that with my dad's Cortina (okay we didn't weld the doors) and him going nuts.Quote:
