Bauhaus - BBC Sessions
This one is a diversion from his usual stuff, far more stripped back and back to his drumming / percussion roots than his signature Indie guitar riff style. Brilliant Album.

Van Halen - 1978 - Van Halen. ALL KILLER, ABSOLUTELY NO FILLER!!!!!!
Yes, I think so. More in a Mind Bomb way than an Infected way but with the same on point, incisive lyrics. Very well recorded and great dynamics. My only slight grumble is that 2 or 3 of the tracks start off well and then morph into slightly softer, over produced (Trevor Horn style) songs, which doesn't really suit Matt Johnson vibe.
Worth owning though, imo.
When I bought my current amp from a forum member four years ago, he used this album to demo his newly-bought Heco Direct speakers. I had to get myself a copy and it's been a regular play ever since.

Great choice Dom, I'll be playing this one (Nursery Cryme) in the morning :) But seeing it here reminds me I still haven't got round to acquiring a copy of 'Foxtrot' Maybe this Christmas.
"Return of the Giant Hogweed" is quite apt - a few have sprung up on the central reservation of the M61 near Bolton. Surrounded by cones and tape just in case anyone was tempted to park up on the hard shoulder and cross three live lanes to get to them, but needed their location to be more visible
When we were kids we used to shoot out their stems with our air guns till they toppled, unaware of how dodgy they were.

Three tracks on the album – "Who Made Who" and the instrumentals "D.T." and "Chase the Ace" – were newly written and recorded by AC/DC for the album. The remaining tracks were previously released by the band. Only one song, "Ride On", features previous lead vocalist Bon Scott, who died in 1980. All others feature his replacement, Brian Johnson.
