XTC ‘The Big Express’ LP
I’ve moved on a couple of shelves and it’s 1984. In TBE Swindon’s finest sing about Swindon’s railways, semi-successfully. When it works it’s up there with any of their best, but several tracks don’t have the strength of the material on their three preceding albums. The die cut sleeve probably lost them money.
Maybe make money for me one day :) Some good songs on it but overall I prefer The Black Sea. Never got to see them live, which is a shame, it wasn't for want of trying. But Andy Partridge had issues I believe, and wasn't up for touring.Quote:
