I don't know why but a lot of the imported bottled Belgium Abbey ales taste much better in the home country.
I have noted this fact in Brussels and Bruges and I have been to both twice. Once on a ten day brewery tour of both towns.
Yes some beers don't travel well. I enjoyed that one tho I've never been in belgium
I think that the same applies with draught beers, but not just down to beers travelling well or not (although that can be a factor). I always enjoy an Adnams beer, particularly Broadside, more when the pub is near the Suffolk coast.Quote:
