Several years ago, you couldn't get rid of some old audio stuff no matter how good it was. 401's were a hundred quid tops and TD124's not that much more. GL75's went for £25 in plinths with old cartridges too.
I think that the collapse of the mid-priced HiFi market has caused the slack to be taken up by the used market now and I know many audio forumites do just that, paying a few hundred quid for things that would cost thousands new and I feel this has caused ebay prices to go bananas, hence the GL75 price inflation now for example.
