this is the type of thing that caused shortage chaos back in the 70's...

of course joe public fell for the "so called" truth like a shot, and caused a shortage... the reporting now is doing the same thing... say you have plenty stock really means get it while you can folks.
I might add my maw bought izal, and there was no shortage of that..it was like wiping your arse with a brick!!

I have a large delivery coming from Tesco tomorrow. Nothing to do with panic buying though, the order was placed nearly three weeks ago.
panicker :ner:
just checked tesco stock of bog roll for sons order on tuesday. 80% sold out so he has no chance. should be 1 packet of 9 or 2 of 4, tops.
they must have realised this would happen.. i mean, muchof the public are gullable fools... wives send hubby to get 100 rolls, as she aint using the sun, (digital copy):eyebrows:
Totally agree on the first bit, and frankly it's more sad than funny, but I'm afraid you'll have to educate me on the concept of being 'sent out by the wife' to get stuff, as it's alien to me, other than when Del tells me she 'WANTS chips', at 10pm at night, and I've got to find somewhere still open that sells decent ones!
Oh, and after hearing about all this panic-buying pish, I wasn't sure what to expect when we went shopping yesterday in Lidl... I needn't have worried (as I've found shoppers here in general are a bit more sensible and considerate), as there was ZERO shortage of anything, including bog rolls!
So we stocked up on some Cushelle, which is the only thing Del with grace her bottom with.

I know... Geoff, you need to haul your ass back out into the big bad world again mate, otherwise you'll forget what it looks like!:D
What's that now - 6 or 7 months you've been cooped up inside like a prisoner? How can you flash all the local women with your 'special jacket' - they'll be missing the thrill!:flasher::eyebrows:
Marco.
Lol - that's saying something then, daftee, as you're nearly 20 years younger, so stop acting like an old recluse!:ner:;)
