Only about 20 miles from Roy's lunch venue, our lunch was in Maldon, at the the Continental Café (https://continentalcafe.co.uk)
Salmon, prawn and avocado salad, with balsamic dressing.
(Not a very good photo but it was delicious. The Continental Café is our favourite eatery when we are shopping in Maldon.)
Nice... I'd have had the Locally sourced salmon and prawn with mixed leaves and a lemon and dill mayonnaise:)
What did you think of my cutlets - I know you like plenty of veg? :cool:

I like the look of the tempura fried cauliflower. I like cauliflower, but Happy does not.
Anyway it's still hot enough here to continue to enjoy salads, so:
Hard-boiled egg and fresh water prawns on a bed of rocket and shredded cos lettuce, beetroot, pearl tomatoes, red capsicum, with a balsamic dressing.
Watermelon for dessert, and all washed down with a glass or two of 2024 Gallo, White Grenache, rosé.
I don't often come across a salad where I don't have to remove some items, as I'm very picky when it comes to "cold" foods. But you've managed it there Barry. Just perfect :)Quote:
