Yellow and green is a 'Robin'?
It went for £1,650 in the end, which is less than I thought it would, but (considerably!) more than I would have bid for it. I still wanted a watch with Mother of Pearly, though - forty quid was a bit more reasonable!

A bit too dressy even for work and a 3 piece suit, but would go very nicely with a dinner suit for the one black tie event I am likely to go to per decade!
One should never wear a bracelet watch with a dinner jacket - only one with a black leather strap is de rigeur. ;)
Well, I always observe “no brown in town” but I wasn’t aware of the black wrist watch code, hopefully I will remember the next time I get invited to a formal event!
Only brown shoes I ever owned were some desert boots. Didn't get on with them, soles too thin. Might be okay on sand but not on concrete. Sort of the diametric opposite to Nike Air Max.
