Sorry to hear that Roy. I trust it doesn't affect you too much.
I'm Type II diabetic, and was originally prescribed Gliclazide which can cause hypoglycemic episodes, so had to inform the DVLA of my condition. Fortunately I no longer take any medication now, and am regarded as being in remission.
Take care

Thanks Barry, I manage the condition quite well with the various meds I take. Took a little tweaking when I was first diagnosed three years ago but all good at the moment.
My other half is type 2 and takes metformin for it. Did you manage to control yours via your diet?
Yes I did and my doctor is very pleased with the results. Each year I have an "MOT" and, touch wood, every thing is fine and I get a clean bill of health.Quote:

Ironically, since being informed of my condition, I am eating much better now, trying different foods and now enjoy eating a lot more than I used to! So some good has come out of it.
Well done Barry. My other half is incredibly careful with her diet but doesn't seem to be able to get off the meds.
First 'Grand Diver' for a while. It popped up on US Amazon at a decent price. Nice colour dial I thought.

Cheapy alert! No idea why they thought it needed two second hands?

Definitely not an addition to my Casio collection because I don't have one... Don't know about fishing bit, just liked the look of the watch.

this all seems a bit fishy;)
Wonder what it does? Might actually have to relent and look at the instructions for this one
Skmei's shot at a G Shock and to be fair it's not a bad attempt for a fiver delivered!

shows how much profit casio make
Talking of Casio.. Another GA100. Second one I received where the analogue hands weren't synced to the digital time, they are now.

Really like this watch but the unyielding rubber strap it came on was awful and made it just about unwearable. Now swapped for a nice soft leather job.

Rubber straps can be a bit tough on some pieces. I have a box of soft rubber straps in various sizes just in case. I always favour a bracelet though. I have them on all my pieces.
I actually do the opposite with my 'cheapies' (including a lot of my Invictas) and take the rattly, tinny old bracelets off to replace them with leather, sailcloth or ND Limits straps depending on the style of the watch. It can transform the appearance and wearability of an inexpensive watch.
This Pagani had a terrible sharp edged, stiff linked bracelet.

:D
Never mind, this one has three time zones showing at the same time look! With what I paid that's a little over two quid a time zone. (got it for novelty value more than anything else).

Nice. I only need two time zones though; GMT and Norfolk.
It's the same time of the day in Norfolk, just fifty years ago.
That's one of the more 'sober' watches you have shown Roy. It looks good with the leather strap. :)
Yes, you can actually just glance at it and know what time it is rather than squint at the dial trying to find the minute hand
Been swapping some straps, this one had a black rubber 'waffle' strap but this leather one I found could have been made for the watch.

One of my all-time favourites getting an airing today. :)

Have you fully tested the water resistance yet? :D
The rubber strap I mentioned earlier ended up on one of my Steeldives (for now).

And the bracelet off the Steeldive ended up on this little sterile dial Parnis (I think?).
That concludes musical straps for today (I see a drilled lug and there's no stopping me..)

Still messing about with this Casio ‘World Time’, will tell you the time in places you’ve never heard of! (where the hell's 'Pago Pago'?)

Is it in a different time zone?
Wedding Bezirk in germany;)
Seems like a strange time zone moniker, but I guess it's important to those who live there.
Surely something more readily identifiable is on the same longitude though.
**EDIT** Having looked at a map, I'd say no.
It does look rather lovely. Gorgeous weather and beaches, lovely temperatures too.
Actually never noticed that till I saw it on the picture.
Midnight, time for a change
