Great soundtrack album with some really good blues influenced tracks done by Jeff Healey and his Band.

No, it was before I got my first CD player, and by the time I got one I'd lost the CD  I may have got it free with some magazine

Well Boris Blank, as you probably know, is one half of Swiss electronic outfit Yello, providing the music for vocalist and sometime collaborator Malia. The sound is recognisably Yello, but don't let that put you off. This is much more mellow, less frantic than Yello's usual fare.
The production is top-notch, beautifully clear and truly full-range. But my copy has dreadful vinyl roar, so I would recommend CD.
Malawi-born singer Malia's voice I'm struggling to describe, but I'm confident you would really like it.
One of the songs from the album:

I read somewhere a couple of years ago that Boris Blank had died and so there would be no more Yello. Turns out he's very much alive, age 71. Who starts these rumours, and why?

not played it in years. I did have the vinyl from when it came out, but don't know what happened to it. I must have given it away I think.
Got the CD last year in the charity shop for a quid. Anyway, I'm almost through it and it's not that great

I think it's got some good songs, the title track being my favourite. Family man being a particularly bad track.
When I heard the live acoustic version of Big Love the song made much more sense and I realised what a good songwriter and performer Lindsay Buckingham is.

I agree - I have a copy and it's definitely not essential, just like 'Tusk' (). In fact the only post Peter Green Fleetwood Mac albums to have are the first two: 'Fleetwood Mac' and 'Rumours', and to my ears they are very good.Quote:

Bought this 'on spec' for 50p in a charity shop. I've played it twice now - it's not inoffensive, she can sing, but the overall effect is pretty anodyne, and I found myself not really listening to it.

Interesting mixture of Maori folk culture, sung by Maori singer Hinewehi, with the presentation and production of post-punk ex-UK 'Killing Joke' Jaz Coleman.
Again another disc bought 'on spec' from a charity shop for 50p.
It's not bad, but again I found it to wash over me without any real effect. It may grow on me.
Disappointed with the above, I played this afterwards:
