That is nice Grant.

I would say so.
Amp is on TVK:

That set up would have cost a bomb when new. I love the look of that era Sony.
Connoiseur SAU2 pickup arm (tonearm). Sale ends tomorrow and bidding is up to £44. Will people not check things out? This is not a good arm. It has an inherent fault. The diagonal gimbal bearings cause the arm/headshell to tilt from side to side as it crosses the record, buggering up the azimuth.

And this one is incomplete. Can anybody see what's missing?
There are some pageants not too far from me that I am tempted to offer on - well it is my birthday tomorrow and the wife hasn't bought me anything! Are there any particular issues to look out for?

I've been watching them for a couple of weeks, there are 17 watchers! I suspect as soon as an offer goes in someone will BIN but I'm not desperate for them so will probably offer.
£40 is a fair price.
That's what I just offered!

always liked these. pity about the dent
just had my offer of £40 for those Pageant Series 2 accepted, won't be able to pick up for a couple of days but looking forward to having a play on the weekend. Hopefully will work well with the other 70's stuff I have.
Here is something a bit special..collect only alas. could be worth a punt

Looks like a nice arm too..good luck
Big old speakers?? What do the assembled think??

That was the LMF-2 arm I believe, with carbon fibre headshell. Suited to highish/medium compliance cartridges. The plinth was a little 'plasticky' if I recall. I think it uses the Technics Matsushita DD motor common to many Technics TTs. Not sure if it's the same as the SL-1200, might be.
The whole thing is very like my HMV /ADC TT. Except for the straight arm , mine is S shaped , which , forgive an noob's observation , is downright much more sexy looking!!

And the plinth will be thin plastic , cant see it being much good
Yes. They were no doubt from the same factory. As were some of the last BSR turntables.
A real rarity. Fidelity Research FRT-4 SUT. Not cheap at £500, but if it exceeds the performance of the very good FRT-3, it may be worth it.

Revox TT...I like these

Some wealthy Jap nappy-soaker, with more money than braincells, will most probably end up with them.
Marco.
More crazy pricing. Goodmans Axiom 80 drive units at a mere £3300! They may be scarce and desirable for some, but not worth anything like that.

But did you see this (might interest you): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/world-audi...item4196176a6c
No, not seen that little gem. Decent price i'd have though too.
You shouldnt be showing me such things when I have cash in the hifi fund.....I'll never get this damned box;)
Considering the serial numbers for these are 213 and 214, I doubt these are pre-production models if they came out proper in '76! Sounds to me more like someone replaced the drivers for any old B110s and now this guy is looking for a reason why the dates are off...Quote:
I have taken an internal shot of both speakers, I was very careful not to damage the screw heads and used an exact fitting screw driver.
One b110 driver has date code for 74, the other 75, this would have been the norm, as these pre-date the speakers as they came out in 1976, meaning Rogers would have used mearurement-matched drivers from their stock and not consecutive numbers, and often not from the same batch.
Nice NAD. Wonder what it sounds like. 3020 with power meters?

Well, here's the Aiwa version of that Uher mini system, £50 which it will probably stay at I'm guessing.
