Thanks Struth. My Dad loved music mainly not of his "generation" whereas my Mum was very much a Beatles, Cliff Richard, her "generation" music lover so I grew up listening to a wide spectrum of artists and went to concerts from a young age e.g. Shirley Bassey with The New Seekers as support act or Lionel Hampton and the Jazz All Stars !

If you like Rory Gallagher, I'm surprised you don't give Gwyn Ashton a listen.................. I think he's done about 10 albums; he's totally blues and I would guess (by listening to him) he's inspired by Rory Gallagher quite a lot.Quote:
