Had that b4 too... Sometimes its that they dont watch their sales and sometimes they just get fed up with requests .... Or they are hiding summat
These twatz think you fell down with the last shower of shit
I bought these yesterday http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182162621983 one tweeter isn't working and seller said it measured 0 ohms on the meter (I don't have one to check) but I've read that most likely it isn't 0 ohms and it should be an open circuit?
Hoping it is and might try fixing it.
Good speakers those Taz. Basically baby 'Ditton 33' same 'HD1000' tweeters too
This is what I was thinking too and from what I've been reading it is the most likely cause.
I'm going to attempt getting into it tomorrow... Will tread very carefully and look at the wires with a score, I've got a meter on order so will measure it when that arrives.
Thanks Andr'e, yes they do have the same tweeter. There's one currently on eBay at £57 plus PP and really don't want to be spending that at the minute. These will slowly get refurbed asking with the UL-8s, now have to stop buying speakers, the misses has started to give me that death stare :nono:
If you are lucky. It will be the small bit of wire visible between the dome and terminal that has failed, it happens on these tweeters and if you're handy with a small sioldering iron it can often be fixed, maybe with a bit of fine wire let in.
Your ul8 should also use the same tweeter if you just borrow one :eyebrows:
Have you seen these Taz: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REPLACEMEN...MAAOSwZJlXNdg9
I'd suggest replacing both at the same time for consistency and I'd double check with the supplier that the impedance match is correct should you be interested in them.
