New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Early 80s bands like Iron Maiden, Saxon and Def Leppard (pre the L.A. hair metal look).
Thanks. :)
Well my first Iron Maiden concert was 1981 at Lancaster University before Bruce Dickinson (formerly of Samson) was lead singer and the support band was Trust. I saw them again in 1982 on the Beast on the Road tour at the Apollo Ardwuck Green Manchester when Dickinson had joined the band and also Nico McBain (formerly of Trust) replaced drummer Clive Burr. I saw Saxon on thier Wheels of Steel tour at the Monsters of Rock Festival in 1980 along with Rainbow, Scorpions, Judas Priest and April Wine. Regrettably, I never got to see Def Leppard back in the day, however, there might still be a chance to put that right as they were still touring up to last year !

However, as a side note, by far the best live bands I saw in thier 80's hay days were Scorpions, Rush, AC[emoji298]DC, UFO, Whitesnake, Kiss, Queen, Genesis and the Floyd.

So as a complete contrast to my 80's rock memories I am starting the day with this compilation from the incredible career of the legendary Miss Streisand.
This album is a true retrospective with 47 tracks from more than 26 of her albums. With the opening track "A Sleepin' Bee" from 1963 to "Letting Go" from 2005.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...928ee9c6ca.jpg

Been meaning to get this for some time, my vinyl picture disc is so crap it's unlistenable. Got this from Oxfam shop in Thirsk last weekend for 99p. Worth every penny, I even let them keep the 1p change :)
That Eurythmic debut album went down well, so sticking with Annie & Dave, in chronological order probably. This one next:

Edit: Just read that their debut album is actually "In the Garden", which I'd never heard of. Learn something new every day...

This is quite uncanny. I made this my last Eurythmics record for now:

As Tina Charles would say, I'm in the mood for 'Dan singing. I think that's what she said
