These are what I use to fix heavy stuff to plasterboard, including giant telly wall brackets. I'd trust them to keep my big OLED attached, but no way would I site my kit under it :nono:Quote:

yeah i use them too.. they are solid if plasterboard is in good nick. occasionally have to shorten the driver on front if brick is too close tho.. usually can hold 100kg per 2 fixers, but wall needs to be good too
All of the walls in my house are made of brick. Plasterboard is a very poor substitute.
I would say that most internal walls of houses built in the last 40 years or so are 'stud' walls. Cheap and easy I guess. Though not ideal acoustically. But even solid brick (or block) walls are boarded over using dri wall adhesive rather than just wet plaster these days.

Looks like a Russ Andrews Silencer, maybe he's teamed up with IKEA to make their new turntables sound better. Just the sort of thing I'd be tempted to throw in my basket while I'm waiting 30 mins for a till, along with a few cheap glass tealight holders.
Presumably it would be one of the items they conveniently "forgot" to put a label on the shelf for in the hope you wouldn't check the price until you'd paid and the thought of waiting another 30 minutes for a refund would make you contemplate suicide (or murder).
Mind you prices he charges I'd wait all day to get my money back. Especially if I'd taken it home and tried it.
Actually looking at her face I think she's just going through that experience now.
