Might have been a customised watch, if Rolex offer that service. If so, it would explain the high price.

Quite like the style, have a reverse panda one, but that silver one would be nicer without the expensive bling around the bezel.
The pale blue on silver works quite well.

The reason is I've always lived in poor, rough neighbourhoods. Maybe not so much these days but years ago if you dressed posh you stand out and you're a target. Dress scruffy they assume you're one of them. You don't see piranhas eating each other.

When I used to go hifi shopping in the 70s and 80s I used to smarten myself up a bit, my reasoning being that the salesmen would give you more attention if you looked like you could afford their kit. I don't think it matters much these days, in fact it looks like some folks might be 'dressing down' at hifi shows. Unless it is a deliberate attempt to keep the sales blokes off their backs ;)
