Concord IV was one of the first ‘two and a half way’ designs – two 8” bass drivers being operated vertically in line at low frequencies. This arrangement improves power handling and reduces distortion at low frequencies. The response of the lower unit is progressively reduced as the frequency rises so that only the upper unit is radiating in the crossover region. I had 2/3 of this Uher minikit in the 80s when they came out ... used them with an equally dinky Uher portable cassette deck.
First thing I did was to cut some replacement black faceplates to get rid of the fiendish orange :lol:

I don't think he will ever sell them as they are in re-made cabinets of possibly questionable quality... if they were a proper pair of La Scalas I would probably have purchased them ages ago...
My room isn't really big enough for them but I would have made an exeption for these beauties.. I've heard La Scalas once and was very impressed with them.. ;)

When I ran and used the world famous Tin Pan Alley Studios, these were the main monitors in Studio 1, in two years I recorded and mixed 7 indie charting albums on a pair of those.
