It took me ages to find a drinks cabinet, but the one I bought holds about 30/40 plus 3 wine racks from memory 15 bottles of wine.

I have a buffet that holds 50 bottles, but I need additional space.
I a mthinking about a vertical cabinet to hold the "nicer" bottles that I can keep innthe cornet, so no UV issues.

I have been thinking about my consumption of spirits. Assuming a double measure (70ml) for a nightcap, then a standard bottle would last 10 days. Thus 60 bottles would last me about two years - not as much as I initially thought.

I like whisky, but I'm a wine man at heart, so only have a few bottles of decent whisky. My current wine collection runs to 350 bottles, as I like having wines from various regions of France, Spain and Italy (reds, whites and rosés) as well as new world stuff, and apéritifs, which Del and I are fond of before a meal:)

Thunderbird used to come in two different strengths, red label or blue label iirc. Years ago we took a couple of bottles with us to Ayr, where it was so instantly popular our mates persuaded their local offy to stock it.

In Scotland, the 'wine' of choice was Buckfast... Guaranteed to get ye blootert' just in time for the magic mushies to arrive...
