Which Takmans? They do metal and carbon. I opted for Kiwames in my active crossover, I thought they would be slightly warmer. I would probably use Z-foils if I could afford them. But I can't!
Kiwames do sound a bit warm, IME. Why would you want that?
Btw, if anyone wants a good deal on a pair of AudioNote Tantalum (non magnetics) in 22K, PM me :)
Marco.
22 ohms would have done
Would've done for what, daftee?
Marco.
Me...for my amp...lol
Lol... No worries. I'm sure you could find a use for the AudioNotes. They'd look rather pretty as sequins on your black party dress - and they're a rather fetching salmon pink... Your favourite colour! :D

Anyway, I've ordered some of the Belden 1800F cable, as I mentioned earlier, and Brian's kindly going to fit some MS Audio plugs on it for me. So we'll see if it's any better than the MC5000s, for passive preamp duties: http://www.canford.co.uk/Products/60...0F-CABLE-Black

Oh, and a pair of NVA SSCs are also winging their way to me on loan, so the plan is to do a little mini review of all three cables (MC5000s, Beldens and SCCs), in terms of how they perform with the Goldpoint. That will happen when Brian gets the Beldens back to me :)
Interesting review here of the Belden being used in XLR format against some expensive 'high-end' varieties: http://www.highfidelityreview.com/zebra-xlr.html

I couldn't resist it [emoji2]

Gorgeous, dahling - you'll be setting a new trend! :eyebrows:
