You could damp the platter, i think if it was lower price & he'd post it i would have gone for it & chanced a 'GL75' bearing fitting as a replacement.

do not know about the valve ones being robust martin , but a friend has the transistor flying saucer one, Alto i think its called for about twenty yearsQuote:

Careful - Klipsch speakers can be very shouty, although a Leak Stereo 20 would stand a good chance with them. Plenty of volume, no doubt!
