Not me.

I remember in the late '70s Yamaha brought out an amplifier and speaker pairing that had to be used together (I think).

I'm pretty sure the amp had a plug-in board that matched the model of speaker used and there was a few models in the range. They were servo-driven.

I was watching that this all week, i thought it might have fetched a bit more

Actually, I think you may be right. What I was thinking of was that they and the Phillips are early examples of speakers that use large amounts of equalisation.

Got two pairs of these or I'd be after these ones...
