It is cooling down, as it is only 31C outside. It should drop to about 18C during the night, so I will be airing the house again.
Only 22C out now it got to 29C by 1700.
Tomorrow revised forecast now saying high of 24C so still not bad.
Heavy rain to the south just missed us which is a shame.
Today has been insufferable by far. Stayed in all day: eating, drinking and playing Miles Davis LPs.
I’m off work this week and today’s job was scraping the ivy off the outside wall. Only the bits in the shade got tackled, and then only half-heartedly! Should be cooler tomorrow.
Didn't you do that not so long ago?
I did clean about a third of the kitchen this morning, quite proud of that. Oh and I put some bleach round the bog.

The house is currently at 18 C in the lounge, and I am seeing if I can bet it down to 17 C.
It will be 35 C later, so the cooler at the start ofvthebday, the better.
14C outside, sunny already. 22.8C inside exactly the same as when I went to bed last night.
Wind is now from the East and stronger so won't be anything like as warm as yesterday.

Overcast at the moment, caught a light shower when walking the dog about 8ish, still warm though, 24c high predicted today and tomorrow, should get some evening sun, tomorrow looking fine then all downhill from there, with rain/thunderstorms forecast every day for the next two weeks! :eek:
