Whilst doing the crossword today I learnt a new word: 'sapid' - to have a strong and pleasant taste.
Never too old to learn! :)
Do extra terrestrials believe in humans? :D
Why can't Androids fix my now unsupported Windows phone!
Ewe-r absolutely right there, Alan! :eyebrows:
Marco.
I'm clearing out my den. This is going to take bloody ages!
The postman is annoying me. He never shuts the gate behind him unless I open the door when he turns up. If I complain, no doubt my mail will start getting 'lost'!
Lazy, inconsiderate bastard. Yes, quite a few are like that. If something's closed when you approach it, and you open it and enter, then replicate the original situation on your exit - simples!
Marco.
put a giant spring on it. :eyebrows: might catch him in the postbags
Why is there no Channel 7 on Freeview TV? It goes from 6 to 8.
Why is the numeric keypad on a telephone the opposite way round to the numeric keypad on a computer? It's a right pain in the arse and there seems to be no reason for it.
Why, when the original government Ministries were redesignated Departments, did the MoD remain a Ministry?
Ministry of Justice as well. Good question.
I've had to go without my audio system for seven hours today - it's been hard to bear!
Ha, you lightweight - that's hee-haw...
Try being without your main system for nearly a YEAR, due to the fact the room it's in has been taken over amd filled the the brim with all manner of kitchen paraphernalia!! ;)
Good job I have a second system in the lounge, which is more than decent enough to play music through... :)
Marco.
Have the opportunity to go on holiday. To North Korea. Fly first class to Beijing, will only cost me 500 dollars, then I think you get a train into NK which costs about ten bucks.
Not sure I am up for it.
The ironic thing is that before I rewired the living room, running the audio cables under the floor, this latest interruption wouldn't have happened as I could have simply moved the speaker(s) whilst they were still connected.
I have a second system upstairs but that too, like you listening room, is full of stuff moved to make room for the heating engineer to do his work elsewhere around the house.
an insane country run by a madman..
I've got some dinghy training in our Wayfarer on Monday/Tuesday... with some capsizing thrown in

Sounds a bit too wet and cold for my liking
Going to a wedding tonight, second one this year.
Makes a change from funerals I suppose.
Quality... Chance to shag one of the bridesmaids, then ;)
Unless they're all growlers?
Marco.
The bride is 27 and the bridesmaids are a similar age.
So no chance, unless one of them is blind.
Bought a hot water bottle today (thrill a minute here you know :)). Thought it might help with a stiff neck that's been bothering me and it has!
I'm going to have a dunk in the sea tomorrow fully kitted out with drysuit, wetsuit boots and float vest getting ready for my dinghy training Monday/Tuesday
I've not been in sea for ages and not sailed for some years now so I'm very rusty
Forecast is sunshine but very cold tomorrow
I'd wait until summer Bev. Much to cold now.
I just ordered a

Sounds tasty Al... :)
I refuse to eat Indian food. I worked with the health department now and then during surprise visits to Indian restaurants and fast food places. What I saw during kitchen inspections etc. put me off eating from any of them! Don't like the smelly muck anyway.
However, the Chinese establishments I visited were a complete contrast and spotlessly clean, better than most English cafe's and restaurants.
