Hifi racks don't have to be expensive, I got these made (three units) to my specification by a company called Funky Chunky Furniture, I provided the measurements, they did a proper computer-based plan, we adjusted, whole lot (three units) delivered for under £800 if I recall correctly. Great value. Not the last word in finish but they provide a range of stain colours from light to dark (it's all pine underneath I think). Very solid, robust stuff that won't rattle or resonate.

Tom , no doubt commercially made units for £800 is a bargain , However my aim is about £50 max using recycled materials
