This was exactly what Peter Comeau once pointed out. Will try to locate the article for some quotes, but in essence he didn't believe super tweeters are able to reproduce signal that high up - noise and artefacts yes, but not necessarily musically relevant information. The increased clarity and presence reported by listeners does appear to coincide with output below 20kHz. I haven't myself listened to these but have been invited to a supertweeter shoot out which I'm now quite curious to hear.

Lol - yes in the right system, you'd hear the full extent of its inherent sonic signature, which depending on the listener, may or may not be desirable.

Exacto! However, I've bought blind many times before, most notably with my current tonearm and cartridge combination, at a combined cost of £3400, so you could say that I'm well used to taking a gamble! :eyebrows:

And this post serves exactly what purpose, Richard? I'm not going to be comparing 60 and 70kHz tones. Where did you get that from? All I said was that both my current SPU and the DL-S1 have an extended high-frequency response, with the latter, in that respect, even more extended than the former.
