Nothing personal, I like some of his later designs I just wish they weren't so oddball - makes long term ownership a worry... I wonder how many spares are available now let alone in 10 years :(

I suspect you may be surprised. As a rule, the bigger the speaker the higher the sensitivity. So you probably wouldn't need much power to drive these at domestic levels, particularly as they are professional units which tend to be built for efficiency.

I loved minstrels for a long time but couldn't live with them now too shouty, doublets are nice... Always liked the look of the RR range but not heard them.

Yes, Minstrels are nice speakers...but a bit bright at times. Will love to hear some Doublets some day!
