Yes, there are decent blends and 70% malt from Ardnamurchan is a very decent dram

Lochlea Harvest Edition..
Sweet vanilla, and caramel on the nose with a little port style fruit in the back. Taste is vanilla with a touch of banana and lots of cinnamon, finishing with the spices again. Not long but quite satisfactory. For a young dram this is nice.

Don't turn your nose up at blends. There are some crackers out there.
One of my all-time favourites "Bailie Nicol Jarvie", was a blend.
