Me in the Wayfarer while training.... no jib up as it was blowing too hard on parts of the course

It's the sail that would be in front of the main, can be called a foresail, or if it's foot extends aft of the mast then it's generally called a genoa ;)

Learnt today that my local branch of NatWest will be closing next year. :doh: I've been using it for the last forty years, and when it goes there won't be a bank in the village (Barclays bank closed their branch some 18 months ago).

The excuse is that bank attendance has fallen by 40% in the last three years, and most people are doing it online. Not me - I still like a face-to-face interaction, and despite the bank staff telling me their cyber-security "is as good as that of the Pentagon", I don't trust it. I've had four attemps of people trying to hack my account.

Still there will be a free-to-use cash dispenser at the Post Office, and they will be able to do a certain amount of banking business, but I shall miss my bank and the staff who work there.

Yes I heard about the Nat West closures in the news, Barry. It's crap. We're also with the Nat West (amongst others), and thankfully the Wrexham branch seems busy enough. Most are too thick to use computers round here! :eyebrows:
