Not a Jarrett recording I know of, despite having much of his output, and having seen him twice in London.
It's an early recording, probably made after he left the Charles Lloyd trio.

Just done a bit of research and found that 'Staircase' was Jarrett's next recording after the 'Köln Concert' (which I have), so it should be to my taste. :)
It is quite a reflective and impressionist piece IMHO. I enjoy listening to it.[emoji2]Quote:

Not starting out with vinyl or CD this morning - rather I'm researching a recommendation by a customer who was bangin' on about a jazz guitarist called John Scofield, via Amazon Music.
This is the album I picked on, though the man has a sizeable back catalogue; I'm liking it enough to buy a copy, so I just did :)

Blind Boys of Alabama, Spirit of the Century. Includes the track "Down in the Hole" which was the title song for the US TV series "The Wire", they also provided vocals for "Sky Blue" on the Peter Gabriel album "Up". Great album this, all the reviews on Amazon are spot on, and this can be had for less than 3 quid off Music Magpie, worth every penny.
