Princess has spied the Afternoon Tea deal, and says you can get her that when she comes up!:D;)
Marco.
A question related to cars if I may.
It is time to replace the E46 Touring. Mrs H wants a car with a bigger boot, and preferably a Hybrid, so I have come up with a shortlist of two.
Passat GTe
Toymotor Corolla Sports Tourer (2 litre version).
Anybody have experience of these?
Here it is again :D I say something, you don't get it, therefore I'm not being clear. You say something, i don't get it, so I must be thick or something. It's something I used to get a lot from my brother, so it must be me...
It became clear to me a while ago: You prefer the 'human touch', and are critical of those who opt for automated transactions, blaming the decline of small and family run businesses on this, as they are aiding the onward march of what you call the "plastic world", as opposed to the real world folk out in the sticks inhabit. Us plastic world inhabitants use automation selectively, according to what best fits our lifestyle. As do you.
So to echo your previous question: What are we arguing about? The answer: a load of pish! It's what we do best! But I'm really not bothered, because next Monday we get our NEW CAR! :) I hope mentioning that on a Car/bike thread doesn't derail the important stuff we're discussing :ner:
And as for my tardiness in replying to your post: I had an early night, then up early for work. And just got in 30 minutes ago. If I'd known you were waiting I'd have taken my laptop to work with me :D
Black Volvo S60 D4 R-Design. With 37k miles, it looks and feels like a new 'un :) Sits slightly lower than the lesser-spec models and with bigger alloys. looks quite cool imo. Only 190bhp so not exactly a beast, but plenty quick enough for us old farts.
Speaking of which, the heated leather seats should help shift the aroma around, so our passengers can share the benefits of my morning trumps :) Automatic too, so should be a blessing for Anita's diagnosed dodgy left foot.
The dealership has some very nice cars for sale, and their standards/attention to detail are really impressive. I'll post a link to their website if I can, but it might take a while, you know what I'm like :)
