What would you term as "younger folk"? Del and many of her friends, in their 30s and 40s (some of the younger ones too, such as Soph and Becca) still shop for clothes in the high street, and in places where the personal touch is very much still in evidence [especially lingerie shops], and they LOVE that experience!:)Quote:

oh and i like it personally as it was norm when younger. you found it easier to get what you wanted too but most dont want it. or they would all be in the shops doing it

Yes but remember you and Del etc are not atypical of the great British public mate. Nor am I.
Why it happened? I guess it was price and profit margins, most things come down to those. Then most get used to it this way and prefer it, or think they do at least.
Look at how communities have become closed door individuals instead of open door walk ins for your neighbours as it once was.
So called progression isn't always good and usually has a human price to pay.
99% of neighbours here wouldn't notice if you'd been dead for a month, nor likely care.
Some very good points there, which I'll get to later. Rather ironically, I'm just about to take the princess shopping in Chester (food, garden centres, and no doubt shoes/clothes) and she's sitting glaring at me WANTING to go, so I better had!:D

Yes its a very good butcher, which has grown in the last few years, Ive not tried any of their wines yet, I normally drink red and happy to try anything, normally would average £10 per bottle but have a birthday coming up so I have an excuse to splash out. The wife only really drinks Pinot Grigio or. Sav. Blanc.Quote:
