Angine de Poitrine were guests on yesterday's 'Later...with Jules Holland'. Whilst being largely unimpressed by their playing, I did appreciate them as a performance act.
The first thing you notice is their distinctive, fantastic-looking costumes; either back with white dots, or white with black dots. I was impressed by the continuation of the dot motif to the performer's hands and feet, with the black/white dot pattern being complimentary to that of their costumes.
I also worked out how the drummer could see whilst wearing his costume. It turns out that the shoulders of the costume do not correspond with the drummers shoulders, they are higher so the drummer can see out through the 'mouth' of the costume. This was confirmed when the drummer stretched out his arms sideways.
I have an annoying habit of becoming obsessed with unimportant details such as the above. So whilst unimpressed by their sound, I am impressed by their imaginative look.
