So how would you describe the music played in some supermarkets? Personally, most of the time I find it either very annoying, or easy to ignore at other times.
Can't really comment on the work of Orbit, save to say I don't really like it and have none of their material.
Listened to a few Vollenweider albums today. Definitely wouldn’t class it as ambient, more electronic jazz.

I first saw The Orb at Glastonbury in '93 - they really didn't sound like anything we'd heard before, that combined with trouser flapping bass from their huge sound system made quite an impression. I've seen them a few times since, some ok some disappointing. I suppose you have to be in the mood :)Quote:
