Could this be a 'giant-killing' tonearm cable?

Bring that on Tuesday if its a super quality version
I also have it and around 8 other Santana LPs.
"Welcome" has some beautiful work in it
I remember buying the first LP, never heard of him before.
21 shillings I think .......

Can't wait to hear this detail

Currently listening to The crazy world of Arthur Brown - and rediscovering it, great album

Bit of advice please having changed tonearms I need a separate phono cable and decided on a giant killer. Having emailed Yannis (who has been incredibly helpful informative and accommodating btw ) I have chosen a 423.5 over the SPD 4 with Eichmann silver bullets but cannot decide on a din connector. The choice is between his 1877phono standard issue or the much more expensive Furutech. My hunch is the latter but ................
Thanks
Mervyn

Hi Mervyn,

Having compared both at length, I can confirm that the Furutech CF-DIN(R) raises the performance notably of the 423.5 Phono Litz tonearm cable, so if you can afford it, my advice is to treat yourself!

Thanks for that Marco. I think to get the max out of the cable it would be a compromise to use the stock din - so executive decision taken for a Furutech :)

Nice one. You've made the right choice, particularly as it removes the 'what if?' factor ;)

Please report your impressions when you get the cable :)

Marco.

I had mine made with the Furutech, Mervyn, and the cable sounds very good indeed.

My 223.5 Phono Litz interconnect has arrived from Yannis. It's being connected up now, to compare with my Tellurium Q Black Phono cable in the SUT to phono preamp position.

Let battle commence!

Almost on topic
Greek engineering is more than I thought and even more than Yannis' cables
One of the secret weapons used by Team GB is a super duper bike engineered and built in Greece. Wonder what else they do .....

Nice one, Martin. I look forward to reading your findings :)

I'm still waiting on my 223.5s to arrive. Incidentally, have you had any recent contact with Yannis, say within the last few days? I've emailed him on two occasions during that time, and have recieved no reply.

Perhaps he's on holiday?

Marco.

Mentioned earlier in this thread. 90 degree RCA/phono plugs. On eBay, seller bsulshop has some pretty decent looking ones listed at the moment, if anybody is still interested.
