Mine has got a thicker 'bulb' on the end for extra girth! It's the chunkier housing of the Eichmanns, ya knows... :bum:

You get the feeling that much of Yannis' output is custom and therefore slightly different. He's certainly open to whatever you want design-wise.
Indeed. I love dealing with small manufacturers like that, where you can tailor the design of products to your own requirements. My system is full of that kind of stuff. I really don't think I could ever go back to using mainstream manufacturers.
I think that Yannis has also learned quite a lot himself about connectors (their sonic influence on cables), and some other things, which he hadn't considered before! ;)

i'm so impressed with Yannis that i've just comissioned him to produce me some balanced interconnects for my speakers. I have given him the mission goal that this new cable must piss over everything else he's ever designed. How's the poor bugger gonna top that
Got it! I'll be playing LPs tonight. Do NOT disturb me :)
Hehehehe... Can't wait to know what you think. Mine will be arriving soon, too. Enjoy, and spill the beans later! :eyebrows:

Quick impressions: my 423.5 is doing that height thing again, first noticed by Marco and myself with the Joan Armatrading s/t album when we tried his 423.5 on my system. Bigger soundstage, more focus, extreme fine detail in the mix bringing forward light cymbal work and other tiny cues. I get the feeling the Yannis cable and re-plugged TQ Phono are working in good harmony, especially as they use WBTs all round.
The top end is a little excitable but I recognise that as 'new cable sound' and will start putting some serious hours on it where I know it will just improve.
Right, back to the music (a stiff test: can it make ELP's Welcome Back my Friends... sound good? It sure does!) "Clear the battlefield and let me see,
all the profit from our victory"...
